Dear Pre-K Parents,
We have soared through the first month of the new year already! February
will surely be a month of Love as we celebrate Valentine’s Day and Black
History Month! Themes for this month are: “Famous African-Americans”,
“Friends/Feelings & Valentines”, “Dental Health”, and “The Human Body”.
We will be completing assessments and holding parent conferences this
month. This is a measure of progress for each child to evaluate how far they
have come since the start of the year in September. During the short
conference the teacher will share the age-appropriate developmental
checklist and a plan of updated goals for your child. This will inform you
what we hope to accomplish with them for the rest of the year! Please be
aware that the conferences can be as short as 5 minutes if parents need it
to be and no longer than 15 minutes. Please look for a sign-up sheet for your
child’s classroom.

2/2 Groundhog Day!
2/3 “Vision is Priceless” Screening
2/12 Valentines Parties in each classroom. See your teacher’s section for
details!
2/13 “Fun Nite” (Saturday) 5:00-9:00pm
2/14 Happy Valentine’s Day!
2/15 President’s Day (Center is open but it is Non-VPK)
2/16 “Good Touch/Bad Touch” Presentation
2/16 P.A.B. Meeting at NDLC 5-6pm
2/16 Family Workshop (*free*) at NDLC 6:00-7:00pm.
2/18 & 2/19 Black History Class Presentations
We sure have plenty to do in the short month of February! Please don’t
hesitate to speak with your child’s teacher about any questions or concerns.
