     News from the Office...

PAB(Parent Advisory Board) NEWSLETTER

Thanks to all the parents and teachers who donated change and items
for the   Spreading the Cheer campaign in December. We had a great
response. We donated the remaining items to the Foster Closet which is
a free resource for foster parents to access children’s items such as
clothing and toys to help take care of the foster children entrusted to
them.

Hope you’ve had a chance to look at the playground improvements on
the Pre-K side. There is a concrete sidewalk, new mulch, and a new
fence that was added. It looks great! We added 2 child size picnic
tables on the other playground and have ordered some bikes and
helmets for the kids to ride on the new sidewalk.
Please plan to attend “Happy Hour” with a Premier Jewelry Party on
Tuesday, February 9, from 5-6 PM. Sylvia Nixon will give a presentation
about Premier Jewelry. She will donate 25% of her sales to NDLC for
additional playground improvements such as a kid’s gardening area
and 2 adult size picnic tables. Premier Jewelry catalogues will be
distributed to each classroom along with order forms if you are not able
to attend, but you would like to place an order. The deadline for orders
will be on Wednesday, February 10th. We will have food, drinks and fun.

Fun Night is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, from 5-9 pm, $25/child
for 4 hours and $10 for each additional sibling. The teachers will have fun
activities planned for the kids as well as dinner. Keep it in mind if you
want to go out for a DATE NIGHT for Valentine’s Day!! Please rsvp in the
office.
Please continue to bring in your Campbell’s Soup Labels. There is a list of
Campbell products on the foyer table. We only need the UPC code label.
Chik-Fil-A Spirit Night is scheduled for Thursday, February 25, from 5-7 PM
at the Tinsletown Chik-Fil-A. 20% of identified sales will go to NDLC. Please
come for dinner and a time for the kid’s to play together outside of
NDLC. It is a fun time for all.

The Annual Book Fair will be March 1-12. The books will be setup in the
front of the school for parents and kids to look at. A portion of these sales
will fund book purchases for the school.

A Spanish class ($8/per child per class) will be offered in the Spring as well
as the computer and Playball classes. Please see the office if you are
interested.
The next PAB meeting will be on Tuesday, February 16th at NDLC from 5-
6 PM. Please join us.
