Junior Pre K Threes Newsletter
February 2010
Love~(noun) a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as
for a parent, child, or friend.
We hope that everyone’s 2010 is starting off to a marvelous start. This
new year has made the children very eager about new events and big
celebrations going on. There are some very important events happening
here at NDLC so please keep these dates in mind:
Feb 3rd~ Wednesday Vision Screening
Feb 5th~ Friday Colin’s 4th Birthday
Feb 12th ~ Friday Valentine’s Parties 2pm
Feb 13th~Date Nite 5p-9p
Feb 14th ~ Happy Valentine’s Day!
Feb 15th~ Monday President’s Day (center opened)
Feb 15th Monday Lalia’s 3rd Birthday
Feb 16th ~ Tuesday Good Touch Bad Touch presentation
Feb 21st ~ Sunday DeJean’s 3rd Birthday
On February 12th, 2010 (Friday) will be Junior Pre-K’s “Happy Hearts” party.
Please check with your child’s teacher for further details regarding this
event. Sign up sheet will be posted to the bulletin boards very soon. We
do ask that every child wear red or pink in celebration of LOVE !
Also, if you have not done so sign up for conferences this month as soon as
possible. These conferences tend to last for 20-25 minutes giving you very
informative information regarding your child’s early education. If you have
further questions please speak with Ms.Lisa or myself!
Reminders: Keep extra clothes in your child’s cubbies especially if they are
not fully potty trained. In addition, we ask that you label EVERYTHING
that belongs to your child this is major requirement that DCF is asking all
child care centers to keep up with. Finally, if your child is bringing in an
item that is clearly labeled “keep out of children’s reach”
(exp. chap sticks, lip gloss, or ANY sort of oral/topical medications) we ask
that you leave these items with your child’s teacher and then fill out an
orange medication form located in classrooms on “Teacher Board”. We do
not mean to be “pains” but we are here to insure your children are kept in
a safe and healthy learning environment. Feel free to bring up any of your
concerns regarding these matters.
